The two bedrooms are located downstairs. The Double Bedroom features some beautiful antique furniture including an intricately carved, mahogany double bed, a gilt mirror, matching Victorian hall chairs serving as bedside tables and a pair of gilt framed paintings. To compliment the antique furniture there are opulent peacock bedside lamps with a pair of matching cushions on the bed. There is a wardrobe with hanging space and pull out drawers for folded clothing. In this room there are some charming original features including a large exposed oak beam and a section of exposed Yorkshire stone walling. In the corner is a stable door opening out onto the lane beside the river.
The second bedroom is styled in a loosely deco inspired theme to appeal to all ages and comprises of 2 full size single beds, shelving for clothing etc, bedside tables and a large mirror. There are framed deco travel inspired prints of local areas on the walls, tiffany style drum ceiling lights on an industrial style link and a tiffany lamp in the corner.
The beds are all furnished with clean, comfortable, mattresses which will be freshly made up with bed linen for your arrival.
Towel are also provided in the bedrooms.
The quirky bathroom is simply decorated in fresh white tiling and is located downstairs in a cellar with a vaulted ceiling. It consists of a 4 piece suite including toilet, full size bath, basin and walk in shower.

There is a small, rustic, enclosed and secluded, stone flagged area to the front and features original stone alcoves, filled with logs and a planted up old pot sink. There is a small cast iron table and chairs for two where you can enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine (or 3!) in the evening.
This area is enclosed by 6 foot walls to 3 sides and a 6 foot metal gate on the other. This has a second, retractable mesh gate at it's foot to prevent small escapees. (Supervision of your dog is still required when using this area).
Although we cannot offer private parking, the neighbours on both sides of the cottage leave the space directly outside the back door, on the riverside, available for our guests, however, as it is on a public road it cannot be guaranteed. Happily, we have never had a problem parking when visiting the cottage to get it ready for our guests and, on the occasions where guests have struggled to park, they'd attempted to park on the road to the front of the cottage rather than in the space at the back.
Things to note
*This type of cottage is common to the area and what is known locally as an 'under-dwelling' and as such noise and everyday living sounds are to be expected from the cottage above.
*Due to the bathroom being located in a cellar with a vaulted ceiling, although the ceiling inside is full height, the bathroom doorway is reduced in height to less than 5 feet at the lowest point and may not be suitable for those less agile/mobile
